After demonetization, Big Bazaar offered cash withdrawals service at 260 stores across India. Now retail arm D-Mart and some private money transfer units also started to offer cash withdrawals facility from its select stores across India.
Now anyone with Debit Card can withdraw Rs.2000 from Dmart stores. The cash you get from Dmart is actually collected from those customers who paid by cash for their shopping in Dmart. The maximum amount you can get out of your debit card is Rs.2000, You may get Rs.2000 new note or change of Rs.100, Rs.50 etc. The customer is not required to do shopping at Dmart in order to withdraw the cash.
Other than Dmart and Big Bazaar you can also get cash from some private JTBS center and at money transfer center at your place. However, cash withdrawals from these places are not free and they charge fees from customers depending upon how much cash you withdraw from your debit card. Money transfer center or JTBS center claims that they have tied up with SBI POS, however, you have to take precautions while you withdrawing cash from these private players.
