Tata Docomo the first Indian telecom company pioneered per second billing concept will be shutting down its operations by year-end and will sell their existing spectrum.

Recently Tata Group has approached Government of India about their plans to sell or surrendering the spectrum. Currently, Tata Docomo is operating in 19 telecom circles in India including Mumbai and Delhi. The decision of discontinuing the operation came after back-to-back losses.

Once the company announces to shut down the business, Tata Docomo customers across India will be required to port out their mobile number via MNP.
