Reliance JIO Giga Fiber the FTTH based broadband internet service by Reliance JIO led by Mukesh Ambani is now active on trial basis in many parts of Navi Mumbai and Mumbai.
Reliance JIO Gigafiber is now providing 100Mbps speed via latest FFTH (fibre-to-the-home) technology in select cities in India, as a part of the trial launch. Currently, Reliance JIO is testing their Broadband service capability to some housing societies in Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai. It has been noted that JIO is not charging any monthly rental towards JIO Giagafiber plans as of now. However, the customer has to pay a security deposit of Rs.4500 initially if he decides to install JIO broadband device in his house.
Recently, one of my friend Girish who stays in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai told me that he has installed JIO Giga fiber broadband connection at his home. I asked him how he registered or applied for JIO Giga fiber, what procedure to follow in order to avail the service of JIO broadband and is it only applicable for JIO employees? I also asked him about the internet speed he is getting on his JIO broadband network.
Here we have some photos and information of Reliance JIO Gaigabiber WIFI internet modem setup: courtesy Girish.
