RCom Extended the Validity Of UPC Code till 31 December 2017 issued Public Notice

Reliance GSM (rcom) has issued a public notice informing their customers regarding the extension of validity of UPC code till 31st December 2017 and to port out their mobile number to any other telecom service provider within the extension period.

In October rcom said that, company will shut down its 2G/3G business and will concentrate on 4G only strategy. Reliance advised its all prepaid and postpaid customers to switch to 4G or port out to another network before November 30, 2017. However, many Reliance GSM customers complained that they are unable to generate UPC code and not able to port out to another network due to unavailability of the network. Reliance Communications said they have already sent UPC code to every customer to facilitate port out request. Reliance now has issued a public notice on their official website informing customers about the extension of UPC code and asked customers to port out to the network of their choice before 30 December 2017.

The extension of UPC code will be a big relief for those customers who never received UPC code and unable to send the port out the message to 1900.
