Aircel to Shut down its Network may file for bankruptcy at NCLT

According to a report published in ET, Aircel is soon going to file for bankruptcy at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) after failed to pay Rs 15,500 crore debt.


As per the report, two people who aware of the matter said,

“There is no cash to run the business and no visibility to free any more up.

It has been noted that some Aircel customers from Banglore and Hyderabad unable to receive the network on their mobile or any other network. Idea cellular has already blocked incoming calls to its networks because of no interconnect charges paid by Aircel.

As of now, there is no official announcement made by the company about any reports published in media. If company file for bankruptcy then it will be a big blow to its 5000 employees who will lose the job. By looking at all circumstances it is recommended that Aircel users should port out to another network as soon as possible.
